Pastor Veda A. McCoy is the youngest child of the late Minister Irene B. Nicely and the late John H. Nicely, Sr. She was born and raised in Alexandria, Virginia and educated in Alexandria City Public School. Pastor Veda is a powerful pastor, prophet, singer and career educator. Her captivating delivery, along with soul-stirring revelation, has afforded her the opportunity to minister throughout the United States, London, the Bahamas, and abroad, for over 35 years. And, her melodious voice allowed her the privilege of recording and traveling with many gospel greats, including Bishop Marvin Winans and Pastor Shirley Caesar.  She has also released several solo projects, including her most recent single, “All Things Are Possible, which debuted in March 2022.

Pastor Veda is also a published author, and has published several books including the transformational self-help guide, Look at This Woman and My Unlocked Life, a 60 day guide to a life of passion, purpose and power.  

Pastor Veda is a career educator, with over 21 years of experience with Prince George’s County Public Schools.  She is a certified transformational school leader, by New Leaders New Schools and has served as an elementary school principal, since 2013. 

She is the recipient of the “Let Freedom Ring” Outstanding Educator’s Award, presented by Rev. Jesse L. Jackson, Sr. and The PUSH Coalition. 
In September 2021, Pastor Veda was inducted into Athletic Hall of Fame, at her alma mater, the legendary T.C. Williams High School, for her accomplishments in Track and Field.  

A Prophet in the Lord’s Church, Pastor Veda is the founder and host of the Annual Prophetic Prayer Breakfast & Training Summit, a powerful event that trains and builds prophets and prophetic ministry. 

Pastor Veda is the co-founder and Executive Pastor of Judah Christian Center, in Clinton, MD, which she established with her husband Bishop Marvin E. McCoy, April 2004.  For over 18 years, the ministry has been a beacon of help, hope and healing – advancing the Kingdom of God – one life at a time.
Pastor Veda holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, a Master of Arts in Education School Administration and Supervision, from Bowie State University; a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Wesley Theological Seminary; and she is pursuing a doctorate degree in educational leadership. 

Pastor Veda loves to read, take spa days, enjoy fine dining and spend time with her husband of over 37 years, her two adult children, her family and friends.  Her ministry motto is found in 1 Corinthians 9:19, "I have voluntarily become a servant to any and all in order to reach many people – religious and nonreligious – entering their world to lead them into a God-filled life."
